The mission will be held at the Arlington Convention Center and will feature a host of celebrity volunteers including NFL greats, national recording artists, celebrities of film and television and more.

"So the World May Hear"

September 12, 2009

Jones Hearing Centers, So the World May Hear and Bass Performance Hall joined forces for the first Fort Worth hearing mission. With the help of the Music Education Department at Bass Performance Hall, we identified 250+ students from the Fort Worth and surrounding school districts who have hearing impairment. The mayor of Fort Worth officially declared Saturday, September 12th "Hearing Health Awareness Day". For the first time ever, we broadcast a LIVE webcast and tweeted photos and video interviews from our hearing mission.

As the lead sponsor in this effort, the Jones Audiology family had the wonderful opportunity to make a big difference in the life of a student as well as create much needed awareness in the community about hearing loss. Moreover, these students left with better hearing, a taste of Music and the Arts from Bass Performance Hall and the promise of a better future from So The World May Hear.

Supporting the efforts of the sponsors, actor Lou Ferrigno, former Miss America Heather Whitestone McCallum, Justin Osmond, Grammy and multi-Gold Record award winning recording artist, Sam Moore, Fort Worth philanthropists and three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Betty and Johnny Rutherford, "Rowdy" Official Mascot of Dallas Cowboys, former Dallas Cowboy's Linebacker Lee Roy Jordan and former Fort Worth Mayor, Bob Bolen all teamed up to witness and encourage the children as they were fit with their new hearing instruments.

Phonak Petite Exélia

Troy DuncanTroy Dungan, former weatherman in Dallas, TX, has never been happier than he is now with his Petite Exélia hearing aids.

These new instruments are practically invisible while providing natural sound and easy listening in difficult hearing situations.
